The associations in Bize-Minervois

The associations: a key element in social links with all generations involved

Each year, at the end of the summer, the association leaders meet up with the council to put together a calendar for the majority of the planned events in Bize-Minervois.
However, some highlights and casual events are decided all through the year. Look out for announcements of all these events on the diary page of the website.
The news page has write-ups on some of the events in the form of press reports, often illustrated with photos. This summary, renewed each year, provides a retrospective review on a single web page of the majority of the events, which have taken place in Bize. To support this, casual contributors are welcome to provide content (text and photos) about the activities in the village. For ways to do this, visit Contact Us.

In 2007, the meeting of the associations was organised by the Bize Tennis Club. Amongst the other associations represented were the Parents Association, the GAOBS rugby school, the Firemen's Association, the MJC and its very numerous activities, the Senior Citizens Club, called the "Recantou", the Veterans Association, the Friends of the Library, and the Festival Committee, which is already planning the brilliant "Bize Carnival" - 4 days of festivities next February!

The Senior Citizens Club, the "Recantou", always very active, will usually plan a large number of events: tea dances, recreational afternoons, meals with entertainment, collections for humanitarian causes, as well as "discussions on current affairs", which provide a reflective and cultural view on our society.
The associations in Bize-Minervois warmly invite you to join in with the life of the community.
