The information technology committee of the Senior Citizens Club

Following on from the interest aroused by the formation of the IT committee by Michel Sutz in the first half of 2009, the information technology committee decided to continue to develop its activities to support the members of the Récantou.

The projects launched dealt with the main elements if IT: "Office" workshops (how to use Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint) were run by Michel Sutz, Émilienne Sanchez, Jean Phalippou and Jacques Fondrat. The "multimedia" workshops (display, classification and processing of photos, music, video) were run by Jean-Pierre Calas. In addition, the internet workshops (how to understand the internet, internet security, browsers, electronic mail, web and blogs, how to create your own web page) were run by Joachim Bartoli. An internet working group was also put together recently to develop a web page entitled "Long live el Récantou!", which you can access on-line here.

The new committee at the senior citizens club works on equipment generously provided by people from Bize, individuals and businesses, as well as the Bize council, which, additionally, has supported and financed the project to install a WiFi network and provided 50% of the cost of the internet subscription.
	This new committee of the Récantou gathers very motivated participants.

The meetings to launch the IT committee attracted 4 to 6 enthusiastic members each time.
