Château Cabezac

The wines of Château Cabezac

Château Cabezac Grand Cru
Grands crus classés.
Michel Fabre, wine maker and oenologist, has had experience of putting the final touches to wines in Argentina. He brings his know-how to the estate of Chateau Cabezac, which has 63 hectares in production, with a potential for around 600,000 bottles. The marketing is particularly targeted at the export market, with wine being made grape type by grape type, parcel of land by parcel of land, in order to always achieve quality.

Two very large areas, Belvèze and Cazelles: some excellent notes in the vintage have allowed Château Cabezac to place itself in the hall of the greats. "We have raised a great Languedoc, which is now recognised in the United States, the main world market, which is growing 10% per year." MICHEL FABRE

A Master of Art exhibits at Château Cabezac

In the tasting cellar of Château Cabezac, Fabienne Seychelles and Michel Fabre display works of art from time to time. Andrzej Tomasz Mielniczek, an artist of renown, agreed to interpret his work at a private viewing.

Originally from Poland, A.T. Mielniczek studied at the Fine Arts of Warsaw, where he obtained the title of Master of Art. After living in Paris (from 1972), where he was the official restorer of the Paris museums, he established himself in the Aude department in 1992.

As Jean-Marc Tilckey remarks in "Notebook 2004", his pictorial touch is mature and thoughtful. (...) His brush, used to the restoration of heritage masterpieces, also knows the music of contemporary pictorial work.

Some of the exhibited works are recent, created specially in the Aude for this exhibition. Very beautiful paintings among a series of baskets of fruit in autumnal tones, of men of the country... "Quite light stagnant nature, with a light gushing from the interior, which lights up the rest" declared the artist, explaining that "certain compositions seem polished, but looking at it more closely, the movement is rapid and lasting."
