Walks Around Bize
The Boussecos Footpath
There is a scenic walk that has its start-point in the village. Take the Chemin de Saint Michel (a small road that starts on the north-east side of the old village). Follow it along the banks of the River Cesse as far as the Boussecos Tower (a historic look-out tower north of Bize built by the Romans and used later by the Visigoths. It defended the Cesse Valley). The return path brings you back to Bize along the Chemin d'Agel (in the Frontesque quarter in the upper part of the village). Time taken: 1 -1½ hours. Easy.
