Rambles around Bize-Minervois

As part of an operation to publicise a little piece of heritage by "Welcome to Corbières-Minervois", (which covers the 12 communes of the Canal du Midi in southern Minervois), the Cacau path has been cleared to enable access to the countryside in this area.

The four workers involved in the project have shown themselves to be fast and efficient. Their work has been praised by the mayor Alain Fabre and his deputies, Philippe Assié and Raymond Vié.
Up until now, the path has been over-run by vegetation. Now, one can rediscover the Cacau path, as well as the quite extraordinary work of our ancestors, which was previously not visible.
Philippe Assié hopes to go further, continuing the operation in the near future, with the restoration of the damaged huts.

The clearing of the Cacau path has also allowed two sections of footpath to be reopened, which go into the Pech: "Upper Cacau" and an old path, which descends from the water tower towards the Agel road.
